What would it take to change our schools? What would it take to change our cities? What would it take to change the way students think of Christians and of Jesus?Fusion is a place where middle and high school students gather together to learn what it means and looks like for young people to Connect, Reach, and Grow. Fusion will encourage students, and help them navigate through the teen years with Jesus as their friend.Sunday mornings: Middle school students meet every Sunday morning after the music portion of the service. They rendezvous in the foyer and then go together to our classroom in the portable building. High school students participate in the main gathering for the entire service.Mid-Week Service:We spend Wednesday night together playing games, eating snacks, talking, and listening. We study the Scriptures, form friendships, and pray for each other.If you would like to connect your student with Fusion, simply bring them to a Wednesday night gathering and we will make them feel welcome and introduce them to other students throughout the evening.Fusion's mid-week service meets at Rock Creek Church every Wednesday night from 7-8:30PM.For more information, please email [Daniel_Rockcreekchurch.com]

What are Sundays like?We meet Sundays at 10am. Our atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Come a few minutes early and enjoy some good coffee and a snack. The service begins around 10 am when we join with the band to express our thankfulness and love for God through passionate music (that means loud, Rock style Music). During worship you may see people clapping with the music or raising their hands, reflecting quietly or kneeling, and at other times you may even see somone dancing. All of these are examples of outward expressions of an internal spiritual reality that can be different for each of us. One can find these forms of praise and worship described in the Bible, but they are also common in our culture, If you have ever been to a concert or sporting event, you will feel right at home. Usually after this part of the service we will pause for announcements of upcoming events and activities followed by an offering, which is an opportunity for us to support the mission of Rock Creek Church financially. There is never any pressure to give and as our guest you're free to choose how you would like to participate. Following the offering we transition to the teaching time of the service. Pastor James endeavors to bring a message that is relevant, encouraging and challenging, presented in a relaxed, engaging and fun style. Rock Creek is a safe place where caring and trained people are ready and available to speak with you, or offer prayer and encouragement. Our hope is that wherever you are on your journey you will be enriched and encouraged. After the service there are refreshments available in the foyer where Pastors James and Lisa would love to meet you.

Directions

We are located on 185th Avenue just one mile north of Highway 26 next to Westview High School. From Highway 26 go North towards West Union. You will pass three stop lights, the third one is the main entrance to the high school. After you go through the third stoplight you will see a second entrance into the high school parking lot, turn right, and then turn left at the stop sign. The church will be in front of you, continue into the church parking lot. There will be signage along the way to help direct you, we look forward to seeing you. We Believe

God is in a Good Mood, and He is the only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self- existent - one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin, Mary, and is God's Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God's Kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today, in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is "true God" and "true man." We are saved by God's grace, through the death and resurection Jesus Christ, anyone can be restored to fellowship with God. Believing and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. God the Holy Spirit, comforts, convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters. By whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live holy and minister super-naturally in power. The Holy Spirit gives us the will and the way to love.Humankind was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him, yet we willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death and judgment entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin.The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His church the ordinances of Baptism and Communion. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God's love, disciple the nations, baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.In the ever increasing Kingdom of God and in the Blessed Hope, which is the glorious visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His overcoming bride, His church. Heaven and hell are real places. There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting death.

At Rock Creek we honor God's provision by exercising wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of Rock Creek remains beyond reproach.Our mission is facilitated through our system of internal controls over financial reporting and our internal budgeting and reporting processes. Additionally, Rock Creek has an annual financial review performed by an independent accounting firm.Members of Rock CreekChurch may request a copy of our most recent financial statements or ask general questions about our financial practices at any time by contacting us at giving_rockcreekchurch.com.TITHES AND OFFERINGSFinancial giving at Rock Creek Church can generally be divided into two categories: tithes, and offerings. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is ten percent of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering.WAYS TO GIVE AT ROCK CREEK CHURCHThere are multiple ways for you to give at Rock Creek Church. Each method allows for God's work to be done as you are faithful to his calling to give back.GIVE ON-LINEThere are several benefits to online giving for both you and our church. Some of them are. . .Faithfully Honoring God - When you sign up to give online you are deciding in advance to faithfully give. God always blesses that kind of faith! The Bible teaches that we are to honor God with the First Fruits of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). By setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to come out of your account on the day you specify, you can ensure that your First Fruits are faithfully given back to God.Simplicity - You wont have to remember whether you gave this month or send in an offering by mail when youre on a trip.Security - We utilize an encrypted secure website for your online records. Online giving is more secure than giving with a check or cash because an electronic gift cant be lost or stolen. Focus - Instead of having to worry about writing a check and filling out an envelope during the service, you can be fully focused on the worship service, knowing that you have already given your offering.STOCKS/BONDS/SECURITIESAppreciated Marketable Securities are a great way to maximize your giving, because you receive an immediate income tax deduction for the full fair market value of your securities. In addition, you pay no capital gains tax on the difference between your cost and the fair market value.A NOTE ABOUT CREDIT CARDSWhile we allow the use of credit cards for tithes and offerings, we still strongly encourage the use of electronic funds transfer rather than credit card for two primary reasons:Although many pay off their credit cards each month, many also do not. We do not want to encourage someone to go into debt and pay interest on gifts given to the church.With electronic transfer, your entire gift goes to the church. When using a credit card, as much as 3% of your gift can go to the credit card company. Ladies Retreat

Cristmas Eve Service 5pm

Bring your whole familly for a beautiful candle light service. This year we will not be having a Sunday morning service on the 25th in order to honor familly traditions as they cellebrate the birth of Christ together. Our Christmas Eve service will be a great way to add deeper meaning to the Chirstmas season for the whole familly. We have special music planned from musicians of the band Sixteen Cities, as well as Singing Carols by candle light. Be sure to make this a special night for you and your familly and join us this Christmas Eve.( We expect this service to be full, because of this, and it being a shorter service, we will begin promptly at 5, so please come early and be in your seat by 5.)

The Pantry

The Pantry is one of the ways we "Reach" locally. We are a Partnering Agency of the Oregon Food Bank and also work with other ministries and businesses in the area to distribute over 5000 lbs of food every week. We continue to increase this ministry to meet the growing need in Washington County. You can help, it takes teamwork and coordination to operate The Pantry and we have many volunteer opportunities. We are looking forward to a great night with good food, entertainment provided by the local group "Alamode" as well as familly time around the table. We have 200 spaces available for this event and we expect it to be full.

Pastor Daniel

Pastor Daniel joined the team at Rock Creek Church in July of 2010 as the Student Ministries Pastor. His passion is working with the youth and young adults, and teaching them about the love of Christ.

Our childrens ministry is devoted to encouraging and promoting a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. We strive to lift up each and every child, helping them to know who they are as His children and how much He loves them. God desires to be in relationship with them throughout their lives. Jesus said Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Matthew 10:14Sunday Mornings Include:Age relevant lessons with Scripture memorization, Bible use, crafts, games, & songs. Its important that every child is recognized and included as an valuable part of every class time. Building friendships with the other students and teachers is a priority.Safety Policy & Procedures Safety Policy & ProceduresWe are so excited that your child is participating in the Kids ROCK program! We want to insure the best and most positive experience for you and your child. The following are commonly asked questions and answers you may find helpful:Are the staff & volunteers trained & safe for my child? All participants of the Kids ROCK have submitted to background checks, and have been trained in the policies & procedures for care of children at RCC.What if my child has a behavioral problem with a teacher or another student? Conflicts with a child will be handled as follows: An initial correction and explanation is first given to the child to offer him/her an opportunity for redirection. If necessary the parent(s) or guardian will be retrieved from service to assist.Will you change my babys diaper and what if they are crying? The staff & volunteers do not change diapers. When needed, the parent will be notified in service for assistance. Additionally, children that are upset and crying will be given a few minutes to calm down before retrieval of a parent. If your child is crying for a prolonged period, we will come and get you.What happens when my child needs to use the restroom? Children needing to use the restroom will be accompanied by a classroom helper. Volunteers will stand at the doorway of the restroom until the child is finished & accompany them back to class. All children participating in Kids ROCK classes must be able to properly use the bathroom facilities without assistance. If special help is needed in the bathroom, the parent/guardian is to be retrieved. Children 4th grade & older may use bathrooms unattended as approved by the classroom teacher.
